Hardwicke Circus LIVE at St. Cuthbert's Church - new rescheduled date - Monday 19th July 2021

The Hardwickes have risen from the ashes of Covid restrictions with their debut album and are back for a very special headline show at St. Cuthbert's Church in Carlisle.

But why in a church you ask? That ain't rock n roll! Well you couldn't be further from the truth. For if you visit the beating heart of Carlisle you'll find this rare bunch of bandits wearing the historical quarter on their sleeve. After all, their debut album is called The Borderland....

St Cuthbert's is where Jonny & Tom were baptised. It's where their parents got married. And now it has come full circle with this very special gig!

The Stage is Set

Yes there will be a bar! BUT THE MOST IMPORTANT PART: we are going to marry our sound guy Jason Randall before the gig!! (take note of him defending our Bus below). He is the support act! Much like Peter - an apostle of Jesus Christ - visiting the strangers scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia & Cappadocia, Jason Randall first descended on Carlisle from New Zealand in 2015 when was travelling through Europe with his then partner Anita, one of the most amazing women to ever grace the space of Hardwicke Circus. Taking a pit stop in Carlisle before turning their heels to the shores of the Sardinian coast, Jason discovered us playing in a bar which he had by chance parked his mobile home (the elusive Kiwi Express) in front of for the evening. And what happened next is a mystery to all. Jason & Anita's sabbatical came to a swift end with Jason becoming Sound Guy in chief, and Anita tour managing us into a marine-like operative state: 3 years playing hundreds of gigs around the UK, back to back all in the name of our music. We'd hit the jackpot! They were a team like no other. But all good stories must come to an end, and Jason was left facing the ultimatum: 'it's me or the band'...

So here we are today. Jason in his adopted home of Carlisle with his wonderful fiancé Maria, and Anita back in New Zealand; all on great terms. In fact, we recently baptized Jason Randall in advance of the wedding:

Jason famously claims that on his flight to the UK he had a premonition that he would meet a band. We can only believe him...(scroll for more info)

This will be more than just a concert: it's an album launch, a wedding, and part of the Hardwicke Movie. It's the culmination of Jason's Road to Carlisle, the celebration of the our debut album 'The Borderland' being released into the world - songs written about growing up in the in-between. Ultimately it's a testament to our journey as travelling brothers. But enough of that, tickets on sale now!

Don't rush, but don't wait either.
